Shortly after our long time technician arrived, I was informed that the heat exchanger was no longer functioning. This was something that our technician was not prepared to take on. Thus the house was without heat at that point. Contact was made with Solace Energy Centre as this is where the furnace was purchased from. Their customer service was dreadful and the earliest they could send a technician was in five weeks. I was connected to Alex Hamilton and upon explaining the situation, his response was, "No problem, we can take care of this for you!". Alex and Rheis arrived early in the morning for what I thought was an initial investigation. There was no expectation on my behalf to have heat that same day. After a conversation with Alex where I asked, "If this was your house what would you do? Do I need a new furnace?" His response was, "Absolutely not. We can fix this."
